I continued my work on Turnip Boy Robs a Bank for the first few days of the week, and it never really got much more difficult while playing. It’s honestly a very simple gameplay loop: you enter the bank, see how far you can proceed, then return and try again. You slowly get enough money to buy new items off the “Dark Web” that allows access to new areas of the bank. You’re also racing a timer that summons SWAT, but they’re not very dangerous overall… but then they’ll just fill the bank with poison gas if you stay much longer. The hardest part is the end, when you have to re-fight every boss in a single run. Having all the upgrades helps a lot, and I’m a big fan of the Soul Scythe which I’d grab from DJ Sizzle whenever I came across his room. A fun little game and a simple completion! Love those.

Correct. Could you stop harshing my vibe?
Hey, I’m making actual progress in Final Fantasy XV Multiplayer: Comrades lately! One of the main things you need to do in the game is craft weapons that just make you incredibly overpowered, but this requires a lot of grinding for materials. I had a fair few of them on hand, but not enough where “wasting” them would be a huge hit to my completion time, so I decided to just craft some strong (but not OP) weapons to start making everything a good deal bit easier. I also didn’t realize that every weapon you have equipped (four, one to each D-pad direction) adds to your overall stats. So I also made a few more strong weapons using standards mats just to nudge my strength higher. Should make the actual grind much easier. And, the best part: I ran into Kenny Crow as my post-mission chef finally! Wasn’t even trying to go for that and there he was. Based, dude came in clutch.

Not too long ago I grabbed The Idolm@ster: Live for You! off eBay for a pretty cheap price, not caring a whole lot about actually completing it. Even better, it was the “Limited Edition” SKU! But a quick look at the achievements revealed this is actually a very easy completion! Unlike most rhythm games that require memorizing and learning all the songs to reach musical perfection, Live for You only requires getting 90% “energy” on each song, which is the measure of the crowd’s excitement. So set that slider to Easy and just don’t fail TOO badly and you got it! You have to do that for each song, then play each song five times, and finally play as each Idol five times. Since you can perform as a trio, you can stack up who you need and knock them out quick. All-in-all this is a cute and easy 2-ish hour completion!

And now, a rendition of “El Jarabe Tapatío”
As the week came to an end, TommyToday and Gh0st Who Walks finally returned from their sojourn to Florida, so we managed to squeeze in some The Outlast Trials on Saturday. Gotta say, I missed this game! It’s just a fun gameplay loop and is kinda mindless bite-sized fun. I got my badge for not losing health 10 times, so now I can really start taking damage to work on drinking potions (which is the highest-ratio achievement, for some reason?) and just accumulating damage taken overall. This game is so fun, especially with friends!
