During the weekend, I realized I was still paying for an Ubisoft+ subscription, even though I hadn’t used it since I completed Skull and Bones back in March. But, since I had a few days left of access after canceling the recurring billing, I figured I’d get to Valiant Hearts: Coming Home. It’s probably the shortest game on the service I haven’t gotten to prior, so I could easily get it completed. This takes place directly after the first game, following various people through their separate and sometimes inter-weaving trials and tribulations through The First World War. There’s VERY little gameplay involved, mostly having to walk to the right through scenes, but now and then you have to patch up an injured soldier, hide from patrols, or fly a plane through hazards. The main star here is the story, and there’s plenty of interesting turns and twists to keep you interested along the 2-hour completion. Easy, engaging, and short!

Sometimes you just gotta have a jam session with the dudes.

Go go, Power Rangers Super Samurai! It was back to my Samuraizer as I jumped back into this Kinect game to start working on it again. I’d laid off since the last time when I kinda hurt my knees doing the break training. Those squats got me! But things went much better this time, as I work my way to reaching Level 5 of breaking and hitting a record of 300 bricks which is gonna be exhausting (and frustrating, because OG Kinect). I also managed to complete my first playthrough of the Story mode, on Easy, so now I can make the next one through on Normal soon. And most of the things I have left to do will just come with time.

Thank you for the workout, Mia.

Not too many achievements/Badges left to get in The Outlast Trials at this point. Honestly, if I wanted to complete the game it would easily take a single evening… but I’m enjoying the game a lot and don’t really want it to end! Yeah yeah, I could play even without the lure of achievements, and I likely will now and then if invited by TommyToday and Gh0st Who Walks, but I’ll be moving on ASAP. For now, we’re just working on mostly playing Escalation Trials, since these offer the best chances for me to get progress on what I have left (namely kicking assets off my friends, and reviving them if they get knocked down). Didn’t know science could be so fun!

Been working on Final Fantasy XV Multiplayer: Comrades more, grinding for additional materials and getting stronger. I managed to defeat Ifrit on Friday, which was quite the challenge, indicating to me that I still have a lot of work to do getting stronger. And I’ve heard facing the update enemy, Kenny Crow, is a huge pain in the butt even with massively OP gear.

Die, chicken-bird!

I kinda started Guardian Heroes out of nowhere on Wednesday. I needed an achievement, and this is a long-gestating one, so I loaded it up and played through the first two areas. Apparently this is from the Sega Saturn, and you fight through areas in a side-scrolling fashion and with branching paths. Hopefully this isn’t too bad!
