I have a few hard, mostly-achievement less playthroughs on the docket, so I figured it was time for some easy garbage list to string along with I crawl through these games. I landed on Webgeon Speedrun Edition, which is a simple puzzle platformer that grants an achievement for completing each of the first 15 levels. I also had a bad day on Tuesday and went out of town Friday and Saturday, so this ended up being the perfect time to start this! I started this on Sunday and played each day, so naturally I’m on level 8. This is a genuine “baby” completion, so I doubt I’ll have much more to say as I finish up.

It was all in on getting through my Nightmare-difficulty run in Slitterhead. This difficulty wasn’t too brutal, just adding more aggressive, stronger enemies to fight. The game can be a little annoying with its checkpoints (like having one before a multi-battle section) and having to get through a tough fight(s) over again can be brutal. But I soon found my groove and it turns out just being as blatantly aggressive and careless is the way to go. If I constantly switched between characters and taking a few swings at the greater Slitterheads, it tended to quickly whittle down their health with little difficulty. The hardest fights were, of course, the two “main” Slitterheads and the final fight. For the former, I mostly just implemented the same strategy I had before, but had to be more careful when things got tough near the end when they started really putting on the pressure. The hardest is the final “Mimic Octopus” that applies multiple debuffs and is always calling lesser Slitterheads for backup, killing the civvies around and can lay out your team fast. In the end my strategy worked like a charm; so much so that when I reached the point at the end of the game where I had to have fewer than 100 civilian deaths, I cleared it right out and moved to the end and my achievement. I truly thought I’d have to go back and cleanup, but apparently that’s a very generous limit! And now I’m done. What a neat game overall.
