Game Pass time! For the second half of May, it was announced that Spray Paint Simulator would be leaving. I had just done Police Simulator last week and have wanted to do Powerwash Simulator or Crime Scene Cleaner for awhile now, so I was in the mood for something like this. I’d heard it could be a tad annoying, with fervent whispers of “The Bridge” floating about in the gaming communities on why it’s a pain. Didn’t take long into playing, though, that I found it wasn’t all that bad, and there is a difficulty slider that makes it so you don’t have to get 100% of what you’re painting, only about 97%. This makes the massive projects a lot easier, including the infamous bridge. In fact, I found the robot a lot more annoying, as you have to mask/unmask parts of the ‘bot throughout the job, but the bridge is far simpler. After getting through all the jobs, I pulled up a guide for the various miscellaneous and collectible achievements and quickly knocked those out! It was pretty chill and easy, glad I did it.

Don’t question my artistic vision. And, you paid upfront.
With that out of the way, I wanted to go back into the Xbox 360 backlog and get some stuff done. But I didn’t really have any idea what to play, so I turned to the current target on TrueAchievements to narrow it down. Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds came up, and it didn’t look too bad so I jumped in. First off, I know nothing about this apparent franchise, so the story and relationships of the characters is completely lost on me. Second, oh man, I am enjoying this way more than I did Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game the two times I completed it. I know that might be a hot take, but it really is just more frenetic and fun to pull off screen-clearing combos in this game. I started my first playthrough as Mikoto, which was a mistake as I should have started with one of the two DLC characters since they have achievements tied to being leveled. So once I finished that first playthrough on Normal, I switched to Frau for subsequent playthroughs since she needs to hit level 50, while the other added character, Kurisu, only needs to reach level 25. There’s also an achievement for reaching the max level on any character, so I began the grind with Frau through Easy-to-Nightmare difficulty. I’m just about to hit level 90, so I’m close! I also installed it on my other Xbox One (yay, backwards compatibility!) since there are online multiplayer achievements to get.
