“And may this night be brighter than your day!”
Achievements Earned In:
- Crime Scene Cleaner
- A Plague Tale: Requiem
So, my goal was to finish Crime Scene Cleaner and my next game before they left the Xbox Game Pass library on October 15th. And I was happy to stream this when TommyToday and Gh0st Who Walks were free to watch, per their request. The game continued to be a nice and chill time, and it’s never challenging. The wrench in the proverbial machine is the addition of new achievements to the game related to a previous update, and the promise of more. With this news, this goes straight to the backburner, and I’ll have to buy it so I can mop it up later. But that’s the risk of doing these last-minute completions! Looking at you, Lil Gator Game…

Uh… instructions unclear.
So, the focus went all to A Plague Tale: Requiem for most of the week. The game continued to be not too hard, not super easy, and downright depressing most of the time. It’s endlessly heart-wrenching watching Amicia and especially Hugo deal with the horrors the Macula keeps bringing upon them. The addition of the charming Sophia definitely livened things up, and it’s adorable how nice she is to the little boy. Apparently, she the star of the recently released prequel game, so I’m definitely down to have her as a protagonist. I got enough of the alchemical materials to cheese all the upgrade achievements. This mostly leaves the achievements for the various collectibles, but the guide I’m following is doing very well at keeping all of those collected! Now I just need to make my way to the end of the game ASAP. And I sure don’t see things ending well for these kids.
