Achievements Earned In:
- Slender: The Arrival
- Shift At Midnight
- Atlas Fallen
Didn’t do a whole lot in Slender: The Arrival yet. It was part of my Dive, so it sits unplayed for now. But, I needed a quick achievement on Sunday and had a few quick ones still available.

With my time at the damp and spooky market of Shift At Midnight nearing its end, I only had two more endings to work towards this week. TommyToday and I very much had the routine down pat, and I could even usually discern whether someone is a doppel or not in a very quick scan of certain features or information. This cut down a playthrough to a much shorter time, with zero hunts. Even better, since the final ending required us to let our loving pet die we could scare away anyone that walked into the store to completely keep any non-Blood Moon hunts from occurring and to keep our funds balanced. This made the final playthrough even shorter, down to 30 minutes or so! This was such a cool game. I really hope we get a sequel, knock-off, or maybe even a similar game in a different customer service occupation!

Sir, would you like this succulent rat?
While it was fun playing a newly-added Xbox Game Pass game, it was also time to get to one leaving! Atlas Fallen has been poised on the cliff as the next sacrifice, so I decided to make this my next game. I really enjoyed the little time I spent with it back when I previewed it as it entered the library! I jumped in on Wednesday and started sand-sliding my way around the open world. This is an action game where you fight giant monsters, and the combat relies heavily on combos and parrying, which can sometimes a problem if you’re bad at reading an enemy’s movements. But this game allows you to parry at any time, so even mid-combo you can parry the attack and just keep laying into the wraith you’re battling! The weird nuance to the combat this game introduces is where the better you’re doing and keeping your momentum up the more damage you both dole out and receive. So, you can be just tearing through a group of wraiths, and before you know it you’ve turned into a glass cannon where one wrong move means you’re getting one-shotted out of the blue. The game is also not exactly super long, and I’ve already reached the second/final large open area of the playthrough. I also got the only hard achievement out of the way on Friday, though trying to defeat a massive wraith without taking damage cost me a little of my sanity. But, it’s all downhill from here!
