“Frogs don’t even LIKE potatoes!”

Achievements Earned In:
- LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars
- Rise of the Tomb Raider
- Yello Adventures
- Sopa - Tale of the Stolen Potato

The final day of LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars was Sunday, as I went hard getting through as much as I could as quickly as possible. Really all I had left was the ground battles, to turn each system to one side, then another, then half of them back again. It’s not hard or really that long, but like everything else in this game, it drags. Once those were done I had to run around and unlock a few characters and vehicles I still needed, and that was it! UGH. I always regret these completions, but… I’m sure I’ll be back to another in a few months.

With a lull in things on my plate, I figured I’d go back to a game that has been sitting untouched on my ‘tag since December: Rise of the Tomb Raider. Started for the TA Christmas event at the time, this is the only of those games still incomplete and it was time to start digging in. I made it through the first couple areas and collected most of the items scattered around the map as I did. The interesting thing here is that the Xbox 360 version (the one I’m playing) and the Xbox One version have slightly different achievements, with the latter being a tougher time overall. For one, I can play on any difficulty, so Normal it is. Second, I don’t have the 20 Year Celebration add-on content to work through, as it wasn’t released on the older platform. The batch of achievements added at the time includes one for the new “Extreme” difficulty level, so thank goodness that’s not there. But, I’m getting into it, and I’m enjoying myself! I had a good time with the first game except for the online grind (twice) and just enjoy using the bow almost exclusively with stealth takedowns. Hopefully this one doesn’t drag on too long? But then it got tossed on the backburner again…

That looks treacherous and dangerous… So, guess time to climb up.

Had some social activities this week after work, so popped into Yello Adventures a few times to keep the streak going. Each achievement is for beating a level, so that’s three of them, including the first boss! I wouldn’t say it was “hard”, but it took a good bit more skill than the rest of the game had required up to this point.

Well, the week crept along and soon the new list of Game Pass games leaving the service was released. There are a few I’m considering, but the no-brainer was Sopa - Tale of the Stolen Potato, a simple and kid-friendly adventure game about… well, stolen spuds. First impressions of the game aren’t great, as it feels more than a little janky and amateurish. But as I played the charm of the funny writing and Pixar-like animations really grew on me, and it’s all so cute. Soon I didn’t even notice much of the jilted character movements and scuffed texture, and made it most of the way. Shortly after I played for a bit on Saturday a sleepover waylaid me, and hopefully I can finish it quickly after this entry is typed up.
